Our company introduced area based sampling frame method. Use of the area based sampling frame has following advantages:
- No issues such as household in the list moved away, newly arrived household not registered and no inclusion of made-up households in the list compared with list frame method.
- Easier to prepare sample frame when borders of administrative- territorial units (district, khoroo, kheseg) are clearly defined
- Suitable to use in many types of surveys such as identification of scope of water supply, public utility services, retail points and availability etc.It is ideal for Ger area household survey.
- It can serve as important information source to link with ArcGIS or geospatial database and planning for position of sales and service points and estimate number of buyers etc.
It is possible to see whether survey sample design and sampling became representative through this method. In another word, it is possible to see geographic distribution of sampled units and surveyed units. Also it is possible to review accuracy of data collection and actual implementation through position coordination of field workers.
