“MMCG” LLC, a research and consulting company, was commissioned by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) to participate in the project “Improving the energy efficiency of buildings and facilities in Mongolia”. conducted a study to measure the economic impact.
Within the framework of the survey, a sample of 18 schools involved in the project and 4 schools and kindergartens not involved in the project were interviewed by students, teachers, parents, management and staff of those schools. The interviews highlighted the impact of the project on the school and kindergarten environment, students ‘psychology and behavior, academic progress, changes in health, teachers’ productivity and health. Changes in household employment and income were also measured.
On the other hand, the study was based on fuel and heating cost data for 2015-2021 to measure the impact on school and kindergarten costs.
